The St. John Children’s Center is a non-profit, full day, year round, educational mission of St. John United Methodist Church. Our emphasis is on children’s developmental needs; we nurture them as they grow mentally, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Our focus is children learning through play.

The SJCC staff strives for excellence in everything we do, mindful that the time we have with children shapes their future success. Our bright classrooms, community spaces, and outdoor play areas provide multiple venues for learning while playing. Manipulatives, books, music, movement, science, art and outdoor time are integrated into the daily schedule. Our curriculum provides age appropriate activities and our low teacher/child ratio allows individualized attention for each child’s developmental needs. Enrichment Programs include music, ballet, soccer, Amazing Athletes and Gymtykes. Children attend Chapel weekly.

Operating under the auspices of the St. John United Methodist Church Council, the SJCC Board of Governors is composed of members of the church congregation and parents of children in the Children’s Center. SJCC is licensed by Bright from the Start, the Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.
